An affiliate is a person who earns a commission on sales made to customers they bring to the site.

To become an affiliate (it's free!), click on the Register As Affiliate link at the top of the screen.  You will be taken to another site where you can enter your details.

Some quick tips on filling out the form:

• You don't need to have a web site (or URL) to be an affiliate.  But the system won't let you leave these blank.  Just put "none" in these boxes if you don't have a web site.
• I don't need your tax id number unless you are in Australia and registered for GST.  In this case, please give me your A.B.N., and I will send you the GST on top of the comission.
• I will be paying you via PayPal, so please use your PayPal account email address in the email address box.

I (Christine from ecraftpatterns.com) get an email saying someone has put in an affiliate application.  While you are waiting for me to approve you, you can log in and download text and graphics with built-in links.  Once approved, you will receive an email welcoming you, and then anyone buying via your link will generate $$$ for you!

You can then add that text and/or graphics to emails, a web site, a blog, Twitter, Facebook - wherever you like.

Your special link will include a code that is unique to you.  When someone clicks on that link, a little hidden file called a cookie is stored on their computer.  When they make a purchase on this site in the next 90 days, you will get 10% of the untaxed purchase price.

Note that some people have cookies disabled on their computers - you won't be able to get a percentage of sales to these people unless they enable the cookie function.  Also, some people might delete the cookie before the end of the 90 days.

You will be able to log in (using the Affiliate Login link at the top of the screen), using the userid and password you were sent when you registered as an Affiliate.  Here you can see how much you have earned.  You will be paid this amount on the first day of the next month (via PayPal).

Of course, a designer can also sign up as an affiliate.  That way, they will earn a comission (20% or 50%) of all sales of their products (no matter who the referring affiliate is), as well as 10% on all sales referred by them (no matter who the designer is).

This way a seller can benefit from sales of products that would otherwise be competing with theirs on the site.  Everybody wins!

Once you are approved as a member of the ecraftpatterns affiliate program, you will be added to a mailing list through which you will get comprehensive training in selling on the Internet as an affiliate.  You will get one lesson a week, absolutely free, for a whole year.  Of course, you can unsubscribe from this at any time, but then you would miss out on some very important information on how to grow your affiliate sales.

Simply fill in the Affiliate Registration form.  You will be given your affiliate id and password immediately. It will also be sent to you in an email.

You will then be able to immediately use these details when you click on Affiliate Login at the top of the page on this site.  Here you will find a page called "Get Links" where you can download links to send to your friends, put on your blog, or whatever, to refer people to the ecraftpatterns web site.

You can keep track of any sales that have been made as a result of your links in the Statistics page (note that these need to be manually approved, so may take up to 24 hours to appear here).  You can also change any of your contact details.

On the 1st of each month, you will be paid the amount you have earned the previous month, via PayPal.
