My name is Rochelle Martin and I am a passionate quilter and have been enjoying my craft since the early 90s. I started Cottage Quilt Designs in late 2004 and currently design for fabric companies, quilting magazines and my design studio. Appliqué is my favorite technique so many of the patterns feature it in wall hangings, bed sized quilts, table runners and wearables. The tutorials feature basic quilt making tips and how to make appliqué blocks and quilts if you are thinking of branching out into this delightful quilting journey. I personally love the freezer paper basting hand appliqué method because it's reliable and structured so one of the tutorials explain that method of hand quilting. All appliqué templates in my patterns are reversed and can be used for fusible web techniques too.
